we have a primary/replica set of hardware appliances with circa 1000 active hard tokens in use. is there a migration path that would allow us to migrate this setup and all tokens into Azure?
This can typically be done through adding and promoting a Replica server. You should be able to deploy a Replica server using the Azure Marketplace to obtain the RSA SecurID Authentication Manager VHD. For example:
Create and initialize the Replica in Azure using normal means.
Once the Replica server is connected and running properly, plan a "cut-over".
During the "cut-over", you will perform a "planned promotion" to make the Azure Replica server the new Primary server.
The old Primary can be re-attached as a Replica, if desired.
There may be alternative approaches, such as restoring from a backup, that have different properties regarding the availability of authentication and/or administrative services. The above list is clearly a simplification of the process and I would encourage you to reach out to customer support or consider contracting assistance from our 'Professional Services' team.
